Race Pace is a strategic racing board game where you are the Team Manager of a racing team in the most exciting racing class. In the highest racing championship, the drivers are in the spotlight. They must be skilled, fearless, and experienced. But racing is mainly a true team sport. Hundreds of engineers, designers, and mechanics work together to find the optimal race pace. The person responsible for leading the team to victory is the Team Manager, and that’s you! As the team manager of the racing team, your goal is to ensure your driver crosses the finish line first!

Before you start the game, you choose a circuit, and each player selects a team, a driver, and a tire compound to start with. Set up the board and flip the first time card. Race Pace (hereafter referred to as RP) is the number of laps your car can complete in a game round. Your RP depends on several factors. But basically, the game revolves around selecting an action in each game round, thereby gradually improving your RP (upgrading the car, training the driver, refueling, or using a boost system, taking defensive actions, or seizing strategic opportunities). At the end of your turn, count the RP your car can generate and move the car across the track. But watch out for tire conditions and race situations that arise at the start of each game round, as they can limit your racing pace.

No two races are the same. Choose from 8 drivers with unique skills, 8 racing teams with unique capabilities, and 12 tracks of varying difficulty, tire wear, and weather conditions. Think about your tire strategy: will you start with soft, medium, or hard tire compounds? Monitor the weather forecast to switch to the right tire compound for wet conditions in time! Throughout the race, situations may arise that can change the course of the game. From your radio control center on the pit wall, you anticipate or react to these situations: select the right tires, improve car settings, train the driver, call for a pit stop, use the Boost system, etc.

With each round, your car and driver will improve, increasing your racing pace. Do you have the best strategy to win the race? The team mode of Race Pace has an alternative gameplay variant: Team Mode. In team mode, each player manages one team with two drivers, or two players can team up with two different drivers for the same team! The game changes in such a way that you can now help each other (or your teammate). However, winning in team mode is also a team effort, so sacrificing one driver to win with another is not enough. This adds a new dimension to racing strategies in team mode.
